I WON!! (And another card)

I WON!

I just found out that I've won my first challenge!!  I'm absolutely delighted!  I've won a $15 gift certificate from Alota Rubber Stamps. It's going to take me a long time to choose because I LOVE all of their bug stamps!

This is the link for the blog post if you want to have a look...(http://theveryhungrycarderpillar.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/spring-flowers-thank-you.html).

So, my latest card...I bought a distressed flowers die (Tim Holtz) last week and I've been having fun playing with it.

This is my latest card that I've made with the flower die.  I bought some little Anita's gem stones to put in the centre and also used; a LOTV stamp, Whispers markers, joy crafts die cutter, cuttlebug floral embossing folders and an Anita's happy birthday stamp.

I'd like to enter this into a few more challenges...

Cutie Pie Challenge - Lots of layers

Stamping Sensations - Embossing and texture

New toys!

New owl die

I had a trip to Hobbycraft this weekend and bought a few new toys! I've used 2 of them here...the tattered lace owl die and a Hobbycraft alphabet stamp set.

I love the owl die, it comes in a 2 pack and is £15 from Hobbycraft.

I used Tim Holtz distressing ink (scattered straw and vintage photo) to ink the owl and the letters.  I also used a the script cuttlebug embossing folder, joy crafts swirl dies and lots of recycled papers!

I'd like to enter this into a 3 challenges.

Firstly, Simon says stamp - anything goes

Secondly, Everybody Art - 2 colours (Brown and white)

And finally, Sunday sketch

Thanks for looking!

Spring Flowers Thank You

So this week I've given my blog a make over and hopefully it's a bit more interesting now!  I've got a few little improvements lined up that I'll hopefully get going at the weekend.

Onto my card...I made this to fit in with a few challenges.  The image is Lili of the Valley, coloured with my trusty whispers markers.  I've used 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders; butterflies and script.  The sentiment is from a daisy dog stamp set and the ink is Tim Holtz distress stormy sky.  I think the paper is dovecraft...

I'd like to enter this into a few challenges;

The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop - Spring

Country View Crafts - Butterfly Madness

Alota Rubber Stamps - Recipe of ribbon and a "round thing"

Birthday Bunnies

Birthday Bunnies

I made this today to fit with a few challenges...I've never really made my own background papers before but decided to give it a go this week to fit the Simon says stamp and show challenge and the Inky Chicks challenge.

I used the swirl and flower stamp from a set I got with Get Stamping magazine at the weekend.  I used distress ink on the edges of the card then stamped swirls and flowers over the top in scattered straw.

The stamp is Lili of the Valley, coloured with whispers markers, and I used; sentiment stamps from the magazine set, Tim Holtz distress ink, cuttlebug floral embossing folder, and far east paper stack.

So, I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says stamp and show - Background

Bunny Zoe - Favourite colour combo (Brown + pastels)

Lili's Little Fairies - Clean and Simple (no embellishments!)

Simon Says Stamp - Spring Flowers

Cupcake craft - Cute and Cuddly

Creative Inspirations - Anything goes (Optional Hearts)
